On this route, you will encounter many Rattata and Pidgey. With some luck, you may run into a Sentret.

Viritian City, the second town in Kanto. You will not be able to battle the gymleader here until you've gotten the other 7 badges from Kanto.

A route just west of Viridian City. Oringinally leading to the Pokemon League, the path here has been blocked off. It is simply a place to train and catch Pokemon.

The Viridian Forest, a place where many kinds of bug Pokemon and trainers are expecting a battle. This is a Bug Catcher's dream.

This is the first city with an open gym. This is where you will earn your first badge from the Kanto region, the Boulder Badge.

Route 3, place where many random trainers are ready to battle. You may want to make sure your Pokemon are fully healed before coming onto this route.

Mt. Moon, where there are many different Pokemon, but only a few trainers who will want a battle. A good place to search for Clefairy.

Cerulean City, a water Pokemon city. The leader here will be battling with water Pokemon, so you may want an Electric Pokemon.

A route just north of Cerulean City. Going this way will lead you to Nugget Bridge.

Nugget Bridge, where 5 different trainers await a challenger. If you beat them all, you will win a Nugget, which you can sell for $750.

This route will lead you to hte Pokemon expert, Bill. It might be wise to pay him a visit.

Once you've benn through Cerulean City, come south through Route 5. If you continue downward, you'll find the day-care.

The day-care, where an elderly man and woman will take care of and train two of your Pokemon. They may, however, teach some unwanted moves and delete some valuable ones.

The Underground Path, a place you must get through to get to your next city.

Not much here. This leads to Vermilion City, but along the way, several trainers will challenge you.

This city is where you'll earn your next badge, as well as a trip on the S.S. Anne.

A famous cruise, the S.S. Anne. The only way to get tickets to this great ship will be to win against the Vermilion gymleader.

Digletts' Cave, a place created by Diglett! Mostly, you'll see Diglett and Zubat. With some luck, though, you may see a Dugtrio.

This route is where you'll find Flash. You will need it later, so as soon as you get it, you may want to teach it to a Pokemon.

Rock Tunnel, a very dark cave. You will run into many Pokemon, so make sure your Pokemon are heald before coming here. There is, in fact, a Pokemon Center right outside.

There isn't much to offer here, not even a Pokemon Gym. You can visit the Name Rater if you like, maybe heal your Pokemon, stocm up on PokeBalls, but nothing more.

First, route 8. Not many things to do here; a couple trainers. Then pass through the Underground Tunnel 2 and exit onto route 7. Nothing much here either.

One of the biggest cirties in the world of Pokemon, Celadon is filled with things to do.

Just south of Celadon is Saffron City, where the gymleader uses Psychic Pokemon. Not much to do here, but it is a valuable place for its gym.

Just south of Saffron City, this city is home of the Safari Zone, as well as your next gym.

These routes lead to the sea and ocean. If you surf across the water you will find the Seafoam Islands, where a legendary Pokemon is said to live.

This island has a cave where a legendary Pokemon is said to live. If you've decided not to go there or have decided to pass through, the next waterway will lead you to the next gym on Cinnabar Island.
